Practice0003 Pick Up Your Towel and Turn Off The Lights! picture something How many times have I said ‘Pick up the towel and turn out the light’ after one of my kids have washed their hands? Here is evidence to suggest that they do listen.

I’m sure I’m not the only parent who is hanging their head in defeat when they view this. :)

  • I know a few moms that use the Montessori method and they love it. I have never used it formally, but I certainly agree with the philosophy.

Homeschooling was scary when I first started but once I saw how much my kids learned when they were allowed to actually think for themselves, I started to love it.

Don’t worry, you’ll do fine teaching math. You’ll have the answers! I find that the things I was bad at became easier when I started to teach my kids. Homeschooling is really a learning process for everyone involved. It’s great for kids to see mom learning right along with them.

I’ll write about all this soon. I haven’t talked about homeschool around here in a while.

Oh, here’s a site that might have a homeschool group listing for your area. http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/weblinks/support.htm They also have a lot of other info. You have to wade through the advertising to get it though. :)

    Good luck with your homeschooling!

  • clothes! the clothes! ARRRRGH! lets not get started…..hehehehe!
ps. i’ve been doing research on home skool….specially too about montissori skools and their philosophies….AMAZING! it made so much sense and made me realize some stuff that i went thru in skool.
i’ve decided it would be about balancing of both world….i need to sniff out the home-skool kids around here….see if there can be an interaction…..perhaps one day, a more collaboration…etc…
it is still unnerving though, cuz i wonder if i could be capable enough….(my math sucks! word problem and trigonometry are mush in my brain….too much day dreaming!?)
perhaps one day you can tell me about how you got started…why and how you felt…..?-s’il vous plait.
