Thanks to Lisa at What the heck was she thinking? for posting this.  I love these type of quizzes.  It was almost as fun as the Dante’s Inferno Quiz even though we already knew I was destined to hell as a lustful heretic.  But who knew I was also a Quaker? A lustful, heritical, Quaker.  Well, God Damn!

Belief-o-matic: A Personality quiz about your religious and spiritual beliefs

Your Results

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

We came out with the same results. I guess I could see myself as a Quaker. The hats are cool.

I would have picked you for a Quaker or a Unitarian! Not sure I like the hats.

I am more FLDS myself, I like the submission & prairie dresses etc.

  • Phil – I can see you in the hat. You could make it work. Are you a fan of oatmeal? If so, it might work out for you.

Amelia – If I felt the need to pick a church, and I don’t, I’d probably pick a UU church. But all the free oatmeal you get if you’re Quaker would be tempting.

You don’t need a church, you need some discipline and a good spanking.

  • Lisa says:

Hey, look at that, we’re almost the same! I am slightly jealous you’re more Quaker-y than me…I’ll have to work on that.

I took the quiz, and it called me a goddamned atheist. Not sure what to make of that…

  • Lisa – I think we share quite a few of the same views. I think I’m more quaker-y because I’m a huge oatmeal lover. Even when I was a kid. Mom would make it and put a chocolate syrup smiley face on top. I loved it. I had no idea it would one day influence my religious beliefs. That and the fact that I look super sexy in a good hat. :)

RTK – Well, you are a goddamned atheist so… See you in hell? By hell I mean New Jersey.

  • Lisa says:

I think we do, as well.

Heading for the oatmeal now….Lower cholesterol AND a religion. Can’t beat that.

  • My computer was being a total jerkface when I tried to answer those questions. It took FOREVER. I guess kicking the computer and just powering the ol’ Dell down at the end of each day is finally taking its toll on the ol’ computing machine.

Anyway. I totally won 100% “nontheist” and 100% “secular humanism” in that game. Here are the rest of my results: http://tinyurl.com/ctauty

    Toodles.

  • Lisa – Oatmeal, almost as good as a fresh ripe tomato.;)

David – You need to treat your computer better. Be good to your computer and it will…still be a total jerkface but you won’t blame yourself. Looks like I’ll be seeing you in hell as well. Bring some lemonade. And bacon. Ummm Bacon.

  • A. Thanks for the nauseating picture. *ack!*

    B. Definitely hell. Definitely bacon.

    C. I just treat my work computer like shit. I figure the sooner it crashes, the sooner our IT guy will get me a new one to start mistreating.

  • A – You are welcome.
    B – I’ll bring the nachos
C – I worked briefly as an IT person in my past life (Life before kids) and I’m reporting you to the council. You’ll never see a new computer now!

  • VISITOR says:

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but Quakers don’t wear those funny hats anymore. We dress just like everybody else. We’re different from the Amish.

  • But you still make great oatmeal. NOM!

  • VISITOR – What no hats! No wonder I can’t find any Quakers in my area. I kinda like the hats. Do you think maybe if I become a Quaker I could wear the hat?

    David – What you said!
